Sunset Over Savannah (1997) by Ivan Cockrum
In this game, you play as an office worker on vacation on a beach in Savannah. This is your last day of a very blissful vacation, and you realize you really really hate your job. You could quit, but should you? You’re conflicted. Is there more to life than constant, mind-numbing labor?
This game was an entry in IF Comp 1997 where it took 6th place. At the 1997 XYZZY Awards, this game won the Best Writing award; it was also a finalist in two other categories (Best Individual Puzzle and Best Use of Medium). It also took 22nd place on the Interactive Fiction Top 50 of All Time (2011 edition).
Winter Wonderland (1999) by Laura Knauth
In this seasonal game, it’s solstice evening. You play as Gretchen Bales, a young girl. Your younger brother is ill and your family poor, but you’re determined to find something for Sander from the village. But after a sudden snowstorm, you find yourself lost in a magical winter wonderland where you’ll meet a dryad, fairies, snow sprites, and more!
This game was an entry in IF Comp 1999 where it won 1st place; it was also the runner-up for Miss Congeniality. At the 1999 XYZZY Awards, it was a finalist in the Best Setting category.
Eat the Eldritch (2023) by Olaf Nowacki
In this oddly disturbing game, you play as Jun Do, the captain of the fish processing vessel Tataki. You’ve been searching the Pacific Ocean for fish for days, but without any luck. Do one last scan, then take a break and get some food.

Kenny Koala’s Bushfire Survival Plan (2022) by Garry Francis
In this Australian game, you play as Kenny Koala. Bushfire season is approaching, and this year, it’s your turn to be the bushfire warden. Complete all the tasks on your list, and ensure that everyone has their bushfire survival plans in place.
This game was an entry in Text Adventure Literacy Jam 2022 where it took 6th place.
Assembly (2023) by Ben Kirwin
In this Ikea-inspired game, you’re finishing assembling furniture for your new apartment, but the DÖLMEN table somehow transports you back to the store after hours! To escape the store and foil a sinister plot, you’ll need to assemble and disassemble lots of furniture with strange names!

Detective Osiris (2023) by Adam Burt
In this story, you play as Osiris, a dead king reborn as a god. You awaken in the Duat, the underworld, and learn that you were murdered. As a new god without duties, you decide to investigate your own murder. Question the gods and anyone else who might know something. Justice will be served.
This game was written in Ink. It is an entry in IF Comp 2023, placement to be determined.
To Sea in a Sieve (2023) by J.J. Guest
In this one-room comedy, you play as Peter Petibon, who wert the cabin boy of the pyrate ship, Queen Mab, until it sank. Now you’re in a leaky jolly boat with the feckless Captain Booby and his pile of heavy treasure. Booby expects you to bail water for days, but if you truly want to avoid being shark food, you must throw all that treasure overboard.
This game is an entry in IF Comp 2023, placement to be determined. It is also a prequel to To Hell in a Hamper, and the new series is called The Curse of Captain Booby.
Who Iced Mayor McFreeze? (2023) by Damon L. Wakes
In this small mystery game, you play as Bubble Gumshoe, a private detective in Sugar City. Mrs. McFreeze, the mayor’s wife, wants you to find her missing husband who may have run into difficulties at the old taffy factory. But when you find him dead inside, you must answer the question… Who Iced Mayor McFreeze?
This game is an entry in IF Comp 2023, placement to be determined. It’s also the second game in the Bubble Gumshoe series.
